Scott Pruett qualified eighth: "The Visteon car is a lot
faster than we showed today. Unfortunately the qualifying session was
a mess. Guys were spinning off the track and there were a couple of
engine failures. Every time I had a good lap going, something would
happen on the track. The car is fast. We will see what happens
tomorrow".

The cockpit of Alex Zanardi's Target Reynard-Honda. Surprisingly I
was able to get this shot while the team were working on the car - I
felt sure they would tell me to get out of the way!

Adrian Fernandez makes his way through the paddock. "The
set-up for today's conditions wasn't as good as we had yesterday, so I
wasn't able to run laps as quick as I was in provisional
qualifying."

"After seeing the problems the slower group had, the advantage
of a little more green time gave us what we needed to go for it. This
is a track where starting up front is certainly an advantage."
