1999 Molson Indy Vancouver

Pete Coe and myself attended the 1999 Molson Indy Vancouver FedEx Championship Series Race at Concord Pacific Place over the September 3-5 weekend.

Friday

This is Juan Montoya preparing for practice on Friday morning. He went on to win the race on Sunday. Friday was more crowded than last year, but it was still easier to get around the track for some great photos of the cars and drivers.

Saturday

This is my pit pass, autographed by last year's winner Dario Franchitti.

Sunday

This is my race ticket, autographed by Max Papis, who we had been watching cheating at pool in the Yaletown Brewing Company on Friday night.

There are not so many photos from during the race, due to the restricted view from our grandstand seating, but I did find plenty of action from the pit lane during practice, and activity in the paddock afterwards.
